Je vais parler de Lucas qui est mon meilleur pote et maintenant aussi mon colocataire. Si on remonte à notre première rencontre, même si on ne s'en souvient pas vraiment, c’était à l'hôtel Le Grand Châlet à Leysin. On était gosses et sa mère se rappelle avoir vu mon père avec deux gamins dont un très turbulent, mon petit frère. Donc ça c’est officiellement la première fois qu’on s’est vu, on avait 10 ans, même pas.
On s’est vraiment rencontré quand on a bossé ensemble sur un événement que la ville de Lausanne organise qui s’appelle Lausanne sur mer. J’avais 14 ans et lui en avait 16 et on bossait les deux là-bas, lui en tant que cuisinier. Donc c’est là qu’on s’est rencontré même si on ne traînait pas spécialement ensemble à ce moment-là. C’est plus tard, pendant le Covid qu’on a commencé à faire des soirées aux pyramides de Vidy, on avait le même groupe de potes mais une fois de plus, on se connaissait et on se voyait en soirée mais sans plus.
Et c’est que fin 2024 où on s’est retrouvé au Barberousse et du jour au lendemain, on s’est mis à faire toutes nos soirées ensemble et on ne s'est jamais quitté. On se retrouvait même la semaine, on allait boire un verre, on mangeait chez l’un ou chez l’autre à midi pendant nos pauses, quand on ne bossait pas. Maintenant ça fait un an et demi qu’on est meilleurs potes, on s’est pas lâché et c’est la plus belle rencontre que j’ai pu faire et la meilleure jusque là.
Maintenant, je dois le supporter tous les jours parce qu’on vit ensemble, mais on se marre bien !

I'm going to talk about Lucas, who is my best friend and now also my roommate. If we go back to when we first met, even though we don't really remember it, it was at the Le Grand Châlet hotel in Leysin. We were kids, and his mother remembers seeing my father with two kids, one of whom was very rowdy, my little brother. So that's officially the first time we saw each other, we were about 10 years old.
We really met when we worked together on an event organized by the city of Lausanne called Lausanne sur mer. I was 14 and he was 16, and we were both working there, him as a cook. So that's where we met, even though we didn't hang out together much at the time. It was later, during Covid, that we started throwing parties at the Pyramides de Vidy. We had the same group of friends, but once again, we knew each other and saw each other at parties, but that was it.
And that was at the end of 2024 when we met at Barberousse, and overnight, we started spending all our evenings together and never left each other's side. We even met up during the week, went for drinks, ate at each other's houses at lunchtime during our breaks when we weren't working. Now we've been best friends for a year and a half, we've stuck together, and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me.
Now I have to put up with him every day because we live together, but we have a lot of fun!
